The Perfect Medium for Orchids
for healthy, vigorous growth
Orchid Focus Repotting Mix is composed a carefully chosen mixture of ingredients to ensure best possible conditions for a wide range of species. Includes graded bark, blended with coconut fibre chips of several sizes. This complex matrix maintains a superb balance of air and moisture that is ideal for most popular orchid species and hybrids. Ready to use straight from the bag.
Orchids need repotting when the plant has clearly outgrown the pot - this should be quite apparents to the eye. Another reason to repot is the inevitable breakdown of the old bark. As it degrades it will tend to hold more water and this will have a negative effect on growth. I
If there is any doubt about when to repot then a period of 12 -18 months is a good rule f thumb. Repotting is best carried out in the early part of the growing season but can also be carried out at the end of the flowering cycle. You will ned a sharp knife, a pair of scissors and rubber gloves.
INSTRUCTIONS
- sterilise the blade with a cigarette lighter before starting.
- Wash your hands before starting and between plants to avoid infection, or use rubber gloves and change to new ones between.
